Imitating Oil Painting Techniques On Silk

My next exploration is going to revolve around something I saw on instagram, which was a video of an oil painting with a complete burnt sienna underpainting that was then followed up by color washes.

My Planned Approach:

1. Paint the whole piece monochromatic

2. Mount the piece with a thin layer of polycrylic

3. Add layers of color on top

4. Finish with another layer of polycrylic

Equally so, I will do a second version where i do the color washes before ever applying the polycrylic to compare the two results.
